With summer in full swing you don't want to miss out on these amazing local events! This month is packed with exciting activities around our communities to make your summer memorable with plenty of family fun! 

City of Monroe:

First Friday Concert : Friday, June 2 - 7:00pm to 10:00 pm

Address: 111 South Broad Street

Join us in Monroe this month as Snellville Heating, Air, & Plumbing proudly presents the amazing Platinum Band! Don't miss out on this fantastic show! The music kicks off at 7 pm, and general admission to the concert is free. Just remember to bring your own lawn chair if you haven't reserved a table. Please note that bringing your own table is NOT allowed. There will be a food court and drinks on site for dinner, or feel free to enjoy dinner at your favorite downtown restaurant! Get ready for an unforgettable evening of music, fun, and great company!

Children's Book Day : Saturday, June 3 - 10:00am to 4:00pm
Come and join Monroe in a delightful celebration dedicated to the magic of children's books, hosted by The Story Shop and Downtown Monroe! Children's Book Day is a joyous event that cherishes stories, imagination, and the vibrant community that flourishes through them. Get ready for an exciting lineup of activities that will make this day truly memorable! 

Monroe Farmers Market : Repeats every Saturday

Address: Court Street, Monroe 30655

The Monroe Farmers Market is held every Saturday, from May 6th - October 7th on Court Street in Downtown Monroe from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.  The market is privileged to be a Wholesome Wave market, which means EBT dollars spent at the market are doubled.  Come out and enjoy local produce, baked goods, handmade artisan crafts and live music each week!

City of Loganville :

Groovin' on the Green- Friday, June 16th - 7:30pm to 10:00pm

Address: Loganville Town Green, 235 Main St

The group, The Swingin' Medallions, returns to the Loganville stage, bringing their high-energy, beach-style music to the delight of fans across the area. The band mixes beach music, frat rock, R&B and shag. Food vendors will be on site and those interested in attending are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket. Beer and wine are permitted at the event. Don't miss out on this incredible event that promises a night of pure entertainment and joy!

Independence Celebration : Saturday, June 24th - 6:00pm to 10:30pm

Address: West Walton Park, 925 Twin Lakes Rd

Join us as we get an early start on celebrating the founding of our great nation with the City of Loganville's annual Independence Celebration. There will be games and activities for the kids, food vendors on site and a DJ will provide the music leading up to Band X taking the stage at 7:30 p.m. Get ready to dance and sing along to their incredible performance! The fireworks follow the concert! For your convenience, limited handicapped parking will be available at the Loganville Police Department. Other attendees are encouraged to park at the First Baptist Church of Loganville and take a short walk over to the event site. Alternatively, you can utilize the shuttle service running from the Meridian Community Center to the event site.

City of Winder :

Winder Wander - Art Scavenger Hunt : Friday, June 2nd - 11:00am to 1:00pm

Address : Downtown Winder, WinderGeorgia

Enjoy some finding and some fun during the day on Friday, June 2nd, 2023! The Art Scavenger Hunt will take you on an interactive tour all around Downtown Winder taking home some beautiful artwork! Clues will be posted on Social Media platforms Facebook and Instagram Friday Morning. Get the list and start the hunt from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Bark in the Park : Friday, June 2nd - 6:00pm to 9:00pm

Address: Jug Tavern Park 139 E Athens St.

You don't want to miss Barrow’s largest pet party! This will be fun for the whole family! Join us for a dog show, dog and owner caricatures, doggy vendors, music, food trucks and more! Pets of all kinds are welcome but must be on a leash at all times.

Stargaze & Slumber : Saturday, June 17 at 4:00 PM - Sunday, June 18th at 9:00 AM

This fun, family friendly event is great for all ages and camping experience levels! Whether you want to pitch your own tent or already have one setup for you, Winder has reservation options for everyone. In addition to the unique experience of being able to camp out at the beautiful Jug Tavern Park there will also be a movie, live entertainment, yard games, crafts, food trucks and free s’mores! Spots are limited so reserve yours now!
